The J-Hawks varsity competition cheer team is on the road to compete in the IHSA sectionals at Belvidere North High School on Saturday, January 28th and will be performing at 10:12 a.m.

“This season has been the best of my four years as head coach,” head coach Mika Strick said, “my first year coaching my goal was to change the culture here at Jefferson.”

Last weekend the varsity cheer team took 3rd place at the ICCA cheer competition in Springfield IL.

“My expectation for sectionals is for my team to go hard,” Strick said, “Leave their hearts on the mat and have zero regrets I hope they have fun and realize they have done amazing all year long.”

Tickets will be available to purchase on gofan.co for $7.00.

“We have had a great season moving onto sectionals,” Strick said, “We set a goal to place top five we have accomplished a lot as a team with our goals and dreams this year,”
