This year Jefferson girls’ volleyball program started its season with many players who have lots of potential for the sport.

Last Tuesday was the Jefferson vs Boylan game where the J-Hawks lost 25-15 in the first set and then 26-24 in the second set losing against the Boylan titans but each player played well and worked very hard like they always do.

First-year head coach Nick Kluzak has already enjoyed his time as the leader of this program.

“As a first-year coach, I have loved this experience of growing as a coach with my players,” said Kluzak, “My nine years of volleyball have helped me understand coaching and the experience from player to coach has been a great one. I have a lot of players with a lot of potential and I am looking forward to watching each player grow into a wonderful human being. The volleyball itself has been processing and the group now compared to when it first started has been unrecognizable. I look forward to the rest of our season.”

Kluzak leads the Jefferson J-Hawks tomorrow vs Belvidere North at 7 pm at Jefferson high school.
